I had purchased a LG Home Theatre system just over a year ago and unfortunately its peformance is below apr. The system response in terms of picture quality, ease of operability, are at unsatisfactory levels. The speakers response is below par by todays competitor products. There are serious doubts about dependability of LG components. It would appear they have lowered specifications to reduce the price!
Just a year after purchase, there were serious problems with the system. Two PCBs have packed up - the power PCB and the Main board PCB. Irt is estimated the costs of the repairs will be 150% of what I have paid for the set. Despite living in a metro, the LG service levels are lackadaisical. Innumerable phone calls, lack of spares locally and local managers who are not really concerned about after sales service all add to a consumer’s woes.
My advice would be to stick to mainstream products and get better value for money and relaibale and prompt after sales service.
