By doing lot of investigation on all the available latest MP3 phones finally I bought LG M4410 for 12, 000 Rs assuming that LG has improved a lot in its features as well as battery backup. This time my investigation was utter flop.
But it has not changed, it has become just like old bottle with a new label.
I will tell you the main advantage and disadvantage of this.
Let me start from advantage.
Good look
Plays MP3
Comes with bluetooth headset, usb data cable and hands free.
Camera 1.3 Mega pixel( Clarity is good)
Comes with 64 mb memory card along with 8 mb phone memory.
It has ability to store 250 messages and well as 250 contacts. Comes with GPRS and MMS features. Camera clarity is good comes with builtin flash and u can use this as torch.
Disadvantage.
As we all know that technology is improving day by day and people expect new features. But LG has forgotten this thing. I will discuss how LG has neglected in giving basic options in mobile.
We all know that even in a very basic model like nokia 2300 if u are listening to radio in between if a call comes fm automatically stops and if u disconnect again it starts playing FM but in a hi fi model(Actually not) f u are listening to MP3 and in case if u attend a call and disconnect it, the player wont start automatically. you have to start manually. So this becomes a main disadvantage especially while driving a two wheeler. Its nice to buy a mp3 player of 256 mb with fm which comes for just 2000 Rs instead of buying LG M4410 because I have already discussed the disadvantage.
Speaker phone is not there.
U cannot add a photo copied to ur phone memory to the contact. For adding photo u need to take a snap in the mobile camera itself. U can not set a picture in the memory card as wall paper for setting a picture in the memory card as a wall paper first u need to copy it to the phone memory then u need to set it as a wall paper. U can not send the music present in the memory card via bluetooth for that again u need to copy it to the phone memory.
U cannot read messages or do anything else if u are listening to mp3. Suppose u are listening to MP3 and in between if a message comes u cannot read the message until u stop mp3.
U can not create folders in phone memory or external memory(Which u will find in basic colour model with GPRS). This is one of the main disadvantage because if u extend ur memory to 256 mb u cannot organise ur pictures or mp3 Properly.
Lets come to battery backup. When compare to Sony Ericsson or Nokia the battery backup is approximately 50% less. I dont know when LG will improve in its battery backup. So u need to practise taking ur charger with u always.
Today I discovered one more thing that u can not upload any java games from ur pc via bluetooth or data cable. So for downloading any games u need to have GPRS connection. And it comes loaded with only one game( Which only LG people can Play).
U can not upload any java applications in to ur mobile phones.
So if someone is simply looking for a mobile with only mp3 and not for features this is the best handset. Because sound clarity is good.
Hello guys I am happy to say that even LG is having a good customer care. Yesterday I posted some features that is needed for the mobile to use. They responded today by giving a call, they told that they will upgrade the software or they will replace with other model which they are releasing soon if that mobile suits the requirement which I had posted.
Thanks to the Customer care for responding so early. I will update if once they upgrade or replace.
Hello guys finally I decided to return this handset and go for LG’s new model C2500 which comes with FM and MP3 player, even the customer care agreed for this. So I will be writing one more review as soon as I receive my new hand set C2500.
