I think LGs logo is Life’s Good ..but personally I think the logo should be Life Sucks Real Good. I bought this phone a little over two months and last time I was happy with it was the day I bought it. So many phones in production but still Lg has learnt nothing....! So basically the phone sucks and I ’m Sick of it.
Before I run through the bad points of the phone I will also count some good points.
Mp3 Player: I think this is the only reason why anyone would buy this phone. The sound is good and crystal clear.
sleek design: Another attractive feature... Its sleek clamp shell design just blew me off.
3.User interface: its easy to get accustomed to cause when people start using nokia phones they find other sets hard to use
- Torch light: Man that thing saved my life...! When I was traveling on pune expressway at night, my cars tyre blew out and there was stark darkness outside. the trch light came mighty handy. Luckily I managed to get the spare tyre in time and get back on the road, otherwise there are lot of thefts on that road. Anyways I didnt think My phone would be so helpful !
now lets get to the cons:
- Camera : the camrea has 1.2 mpixels but some how images in the dark are still dark and blur . Inspite of the torch the photos taken are very bad...
2 Mp3 player: The visualisations do not reflect the beats but rather it is an animated image file that goes on and on .. if u think Im jokin .. just try a song which has 5 -10 sec silence gap the visualisation shows beats..! well also you cannot play wav files or any other..!
- Video recording: can anyone imagine a silent movie..? where r we, in late 1900s ..?
I cant imagine why no sound was aasssociatedwith the movie. Besides the movie length is also max 20 secs . what am I shooting.., Tv commercials? also it saves it in same proprietory format which cannot be played in any std player in windows(atleast not to my Knowledge)
Movie player: Well it does not exist. this what I call amateur OS by LG..I mean to boast of 3g phones and high end technology and not providing tools to harness it. I dont get why it doesnt have a real player or something like that to play videos. this is where life sucks!
File manager: It is not existant .I cannot create any folder in it . My messages cannot be segregated into groups. S o basically my inbox is mixture of good and bad(obscene) messages which I fear to show to anyone in the family. I get scared when
anyone gets curious about my phone.
Organiser: it has no meaning . cause u can store a maximum of 20 entries and my friends are close to 120 some thing, but I cannot store their birthdays and even so events are not segregated at all. U have to type in the type ie birthdays reminders, memos etc.
Acessories: The head phone provided with the phone do not fit into my ears and keep falling , so no point in using it.also the bluetooth device cannot be used for listening to MP3 . And it connectivity is poor.
Documentation: It is outdated and doesnt match the phone.eg: it is written in the manual that bluetooth can only be used to transfer phone contacts but in practise it does much more.
Bluetooth:Its connectivty its not good with all phones.
battery life: In practise the battery last a little more than one and a half days.
contacts: the phone contacts cannot be added to existung contact without erasing the existing number. So basically write down the previous number before adding new number.
multi tasking: the phone does not allow to do multi-tasking. ie u cannot acces folder while listening to MP3 . High end phone, My A@#.! So shut the Mp3 and read mesage or do whtever but one thing at a time!
Games; the games suck . It only hasone game and suposedly u cannot download any more!
Memory : It can only be extended upto 128mb. such a shame!
14.software: the interface is good looking, and thats all that is good about it, its quite confusing to use. and no software can be added to phone. Wht I dont get is that if LG didntmean to provide any alterations in their PROPRIETORY software why the hell do they give it. Once I Own the phone it is problem wht I want to keep in it .. Why the hell do u care about the software security.
Basically the phone can do much more than it is designed to but the software developers didnt get their heads together to make a good phone. And if u dont want to give the phone its full capacity dont boast of it as 3g mobile.
My opinion to potential buyers is that forget about it. Dont waste Your money. Buy Sony erikson or Nokia..
