Old but gold

This is a long term review. For specs and short term review check other tech portals. I bought a 32gb black variant on 31st Dec 2013 for 32k and it’s still working fine, just had to change the battery once. The specs may not look intimidating today as it did years back. The design is totally different and a standout. The rubbery plastic body doesn’t feel so premium yet I will like it for it being so different.

Can’t dare dropping it though?. But on the counter side plastic body allows wireless charging. Switching app is still as smooth as butter. GPU and processor good enough to play latest heavy games. The camera is good but the low light photos are not up to the mark. Speaker volume is on the down side. Battery last like half the day for medium to heavy usage and heats up often on heavy gameplay. Stock Android is the best. Once you use it you won’t be able to find your  heart in anything else(I have used Samsung, Xiaomi, HTC, OnePlus, Asus devices).

But Android update is limited to Marshmallow. It has got tonnes of custom roms available. It has 4g LTE but lacks VoLTE. There’s a pride of ownership associated with this device. I love this phone and I am going to keep it with me even when it will stop working because I know years down the line it will become legacy gadget.
