I had applied for Reliance India Mobile 2 months back. I got my handset - LG RD 2030 3 days back. By this 3 days of experience, I am not satisfied. Let me go through the good things about the phone first.
Ring tone - Excellent. It is having polyphonic sound while most of the popular phones are having monophonic sound. (Ring tone of Nokia 3310 is monophonic while Sony J5 is polyphonic)
Sound clarity - Its speaker volume is better and sound is good. One good thing I found is that when we are in a noisy area the sound volume will increase automatically so we can hear without much disturbance.
3.GameZ/Multimedia - The reliance R World specific operations. These functions are there even though they are not that entertaining.
- Shape and Style. The design is somewhat good. The Keys are smooth and feels good to touch.
Now the BAD things
It is HOT. Keep away from your ears Sounds crazy?? Huh!! It will get heated up if it is connected to the service for about 5 mins. If you are using it for about 20 or 30 minutes continuously (close to your head) there is a sure chance of getting a headache. It seems it is having high radiation. Thanks to reliance, they are providing a hands free along with this package. So, try to use the hands free when-ever it is possible.
The graphics/ animations. It’s graphics and animations are very BAD in my opinion. It looks like they had an earlier delivery before beautifying the graphics. The progress indication, status notification .. etc are not that professional. There is no battery charging indication in the mobile. Of course, an indicator is there on the desktop charger. The battery low indication is also horrible. (It comes only when the mobile is going to turn off)
The desktop charger cant be used without removing the mobile cover, if you are using one.
Screen resolution. It is not better than a Sony ericsson T100 handset.
Beware ... some times you may get a used handset. I think I got one ( the small scratches and dirt spots I found when I got the handset)
Battery change life. Seems not that good. It wont go beyond 2.30 Hrs of continuous talk. But I think the standby time is more compared to the GSM handsets.
