Value for Money

The latest Phone from Reliance is sure attracting a lot of attention due to its strongest selling point PRICE !!!!

The earlier review on LG 6130 was a thumbs down although I would say it was more for the Reliance Service rather than the phone.

My mother has a Reliance connection and the exsiting LG phone which came with the Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer offer was giving a lot of problem due the Battery, so we decided to go in for a new handset. The advertisment for LG 6130 tempted us to try out this model.

So off we went to the Juhu Web World to buy this. Well, buying the phone from this web world was a nightmare, but more on that in another review.

There were 4 people ahead of us in the line, and all of them bought the same phone !!!! Sure this phone is in demand.

Now, having used this phone for last three days, I think this phone definately offers a lot of value for money.

The voice clarity is very good, u can actually hear the sound in the room if the volume is kept at high. The speaker phone and microphone too are powerfull, you can actually continue the conversation even if you are away from the phone.

The Menu is fairly simple like the earlier LG Phone, even my mom can navigate easily, althought if you compare it with Nokia Menu in other GSM phone, you will be disappointed. Same stands true for the softness of the buttons.

The R-World really comes alive with the 65000 colour display of this phone. You can watch News from Aaj Tak, NDTV others, and since the voice clarity is good, you dont even need to use the hands free.

Coming to the camera, this is the first camera phone I have used myself and I thnk the output is strickly so so. May be since I had recently purchased a Digital Camera, I tended to compare the two outputs.

Taking Snaps is fairly simple, again my mom has mastered the art of taking snaps in two days. You can also set Snaps as Caller ID for numbers in your phone book. You can even e-mail Snaps directly from the phone to web based e-mail IDS like hotmail and yahoo

Another thing I like about this phone is that the charger is a much better one the earlier LG phone.

Final Analysis, a good value for money !!!!
