Worst Service support from LG Washing Machine

We had purchased a LG Top Loading Washing Machine(10160TP)in 2008 and had worked well till 2012 august. we faced some problem with leakage of water and as usual we had logged a customer complaint. The service guy came after 2 days of logging the complaint and told it needs to be taken to service center as it cannot repaired in my house. So he came after 2 days and took the machine confirming that it will repaired .


Once again no response for another 2 days and one fine day the executive called me and told it cannot be serviced and the model is outdated and LG does not produce/have spares for the part. So you can understand what type of company is LG, within 4 yesrs they are not able to provide support a washing machine which had costed Rs 25000 4 years back to me.Then I asked the executive what kind of support LG is providing? and I what I need to do with the machine? Then he told they can give depreciated cost or we have sell our machine and buy new.


On this issue I called the Customer care helpline number which was available in the website and they were very, very, very casual and not at all caring about the customer. When asked whether the machine can be serviced in any other service center he gave me a new number and when I asked for service center response he also took it very likely and  according to him we had purchased a Rs 100 item from LG.when I told him that I don’t recommend or purchase any other item from LG he was very very casual and told ok sir.


still worse is the Service executives ho don’t have the courtesy to call and update the customer and every time we have to call and follow up. Finally I went to service center and handed over all the documents in order to get the depreciated cost( he told they may reimburse 30 to 40% of the total cost of machine). For this document handed over also no receipt being provided and he told they will revert within a week’s time.


HE Also recommended to purchase new washing machine. we also made up our mind to purchase new and was not intended to got For LG.


Finally, we purchased Godrej top loading machine and the next we got the call once again from Service executive saying washing machine is repaired. In between he had 3 days time to update us regarding repair which he didn’t. When I asked what to do now we had already purchased new machine for that no answer. . kept mum.then when I asked whether they will be able to provide the depreciated cost he told not possible since repaired.
