I purchased LG Tromm with Digital display fully-automatic WM 3 1/2 years ago for apprx Rs 17, 000 and my experience so far has been very satisfying. It has several useful features to suit your washing requirement of the day be it cotton, silk, wool or just a 30 minutes quick wash. The spin, drain features come in handy especially when the clothes are out to dry in the sun but get soaked in rain as you didn’t reach in time! You can load the clothes and run the machine with these options and lo! your clothes are squeezed and dried again.
The auto-heating feature heats the water. This is very useful in washing jeans, towels, bedspreads, curtains and heavily soiled clothes that come out clean and fresh. The difference stands out when you wash with cold water in any other manual washing machines without this option.
The digital display is an enhanced feature which again makes it easy to understand the problem. For instance, if the door is not shut properly, the display shows DE and you know the reason to rectify. The owner’s manual is very informative and easy to understand. It gives you a troubleshooting guide that you can use to solve simple solutions and not panic to call the technician.
I had also purchased the non-digital version for my mother about 5 years ago. This product too has given excellent service. Only recently the rubber seems to have worn out.
Recently I called the customer care for technical assistance and I am glad that they sent their tech person within 24 hours time as promised. I have taken up the Assured Maintenance Service(extended warranty) and hope to receive a prompt service.
The only concern I have is the loud rattling noise and shaking while it spins. Else I believe that it is a full value for money and certainly a good product to own.
