I bought it for Rs.15, 800/- in chennai on Jan 2008. It’s a great model with all the features when compared to other brands which costs around 4000-6000 more for the same features. It’s worth buying it.performance is great

I suggest you guys to not buy a Washing Machine without Digital Display, coz u dont know what is happening during the washing process and it takes time to fix a simple error. For example, a washing machine stops running when it didn’t get an adequate water(force) supply. In a WM with DD u can identify the error and solve the problem then and there.
Pros
I use the WM for 3 times in a week and due to it energy saving feature my electricity bill doen’t show much difference for the past 5 months.
Cons
It’s too shaky while in spin mode especially in 800 mode(till then I use only 400 mode which is somewhat tolerable). When the WM is fixed in a quiet environment then u can hear an unpleasant noise(Like a jet taking off)
Other brands that has Digital Display with all these features costs more than Rs.4000
Update after 1 1/2 years of usage - Jun 2009
During this month I saw water leaking thru the door. Called up the LG CCare. The tech guy came within 24 hrs of complaining. Told me that the rubber casket was worn out and he would replace(for free coz of 2 yrs warranty) it within a week as the spare(Original cost Rs.1500) was not available at that moment. After 3 days(that was quick enough) he came & fixed the casket. It was a really a tedious job(45 mins) as he has to open 90% of the WM to fit the casket. There was no water leakage after that. Thanks to LG.
P.S. Always go for extended warranty package coz it saves u a good amt.
