LG almost got everything right with its new flagship model. Lg has finally brought serious competition to the likes of nexus 6p, the blackberry priv and samsung galaxy note 5. It manages to integrate awesome hardware with a much improved and responsive ui. LG has gone a notch up with the build as well and this flagship looks and feels much more premium than its predecessor, the LG G4.
Pros: Firstly, it packs a qualcomm snapdragon 808 processor( Hexa-core, 1800 MHz, ARM Cortex-A57 and ARM Cortex-A53, 64-bit) to power the beast coupled with 4 gb lp ddr3 ram which allows the device to perform like a dream.
It comes with 64 gb internal rom with 2tb external micro sd support.
A very pleasant surpise is the back cover is replacable and so is the battery.
The battery is 3000mah to give it a decent life cycle.
The display is quad hd ips with a pixel density of 515 ppi giving it a rich, vibrant saturation with lifelike color. The resolution for the primary display is 1440 * 2560. Another pleasant surprise is the introduction of a 2.1 inches secondary display( 1040 * 160) which lets u read notifications while doing something else on the primary display. The display is corning gorilla glass 4 and its scratch resistant.
The device is 810G certified, so, its scratch and shock resistant.
The rear 16 mp camera comes with a host of features along with optical image stabilization, ISO control, white balance, manual focus, etc. The device is capable of shooting 4k quality videos.
Another innovative feature that LG added is the dual front facing 5mp camera, one for standard angle and the other for wide angle snaps.
It comes with adreno 418 graphics so, games are a delight.
For audiophiles, it comes with dedicated 32 bit hifi dac audio processor.
It also boasts a host of latest connectivity options like wifi, bluetooth, nfc, ota sync, usb tethering, wireless display, gps with glonass, etc.
To top it up, in network connectivity, it is 4g lte( CAT 6) capable.
The fingerprint scanner at the back is ergonomically placed and is very accurate and responsive, thus, providing additional security to the end user.
Fast charging capabilities adds icing to the cake.
Cons: LGs optimus ui is still a bit cluttered.
For a few, the position of the secondary display might be a little inconvenient or intrusive.
Verdict: if u can afford this device, its a dream to own.
