In Bangalore, I took LG top load semiautomatic washing machine in 2006/20-July. The day 1 we found excessive vibration in the drier.
Called up the so-called CSC of LG. The response- Sir, the excessive vibration is always there. May be you have not placed the lid properly. Nothing will happen.Thanks for using LG product.
So this fool writer used the same machine for 1year 11 months( the warranty period expires in 2008/19-July). My wife kept on telling me that no machine makes such huge vibrations so please call again and ask for the engr to come. So I logged the service ticket(They call it SR) with LG. A prompt sms did come mentioning the SR.
2 days after that somebody called in and asked ."Saar wat is the problem?" I told the problem politely and asked to come and see. He came within 2 hrs(wow!) and told me that the rubber part beneath the drier is faulty. I told him that since Day 1, the problem is seen. He said."No saar! it became now very very fauly and you should have done it long back ".I said, OK now can you do this? He asked the godown and told that it will take 6 days to get the part. I told him that the machine is under warranty period.His face became fainted.He was not expecting to service the under warranty period machine. He said- no saar.it is one year only.But I showed him the original bill and warranty period.He mutely noted this in his SR record and told that he will come next week.
I called up next week and got a response that he has left LG service now!
Then I made around 14 calls and finally one more engineer came after 2 weeks. Meanwhile the warranty period was over. He came and asked.what happened to the machine sir? I told him that you should know this as you have with records. He said- No I have been told just to attend the customer w/o any details. I immediately sent him back and asked to come with all the details and rubber part to be replaced. He vanished for 1 week.Again some 7-8 calls and then my impatience reached to the peak level. I called up Noida service centre and told that if this continues then I will go to consumer court as I have enough evidences to prove your fault.
Then for next 2 days, my cellphone had some 5-6 calls from CSC and told me that the part is coming from Korea. One day finally the part had come to the godown. By that time, the drier was vibrating so heavily as if it is making suicidal attempts! I had to switch off my machine during rainy days till then.
After 7 days of part recd in bangalore godown, the same engr came and told me that he will fix it now. He came and replaced the part. He asked for the service charge and I denied telling that SR was created within warranty period so Im bound not to pay LG for the delayed service. If you have any problem then ask LG to write me. But he did not argue and went with my sign as a completion statement confirmation.
Next day.call from CSC.
How do you find our service? : Very poor.
Do you recommend LG product to anyone ?: No.not washing machine at least.
How can we improve our service?: **Please serve the customer.Thats all.

The drier is working well from past 1 month without vibration.!
