An immensely readable book

I had written a review on Life of Pi by Yann Martel in one of the Indian sites (https://sulekha.com/bookreview.asp?book=285070). Yet I thought of giving the book more publicity through MS.

The thing which made me buy this book was ofcourse the rave reviews and the shortlist for Booker. As told by other reviewers the story is about a young boy Piscine Patel’s (Pi) journey across the waters with a tiger.

the following attracted me much

  1. The very thin line between reality and fiction. Finally it was upto the readers to judge.

  2. Animals, as I grew up with Panchatantra stories.

  3. The Indian Background

  4. The fluid pace of the book.

The book on the periphery looks like a fable of a young boy’s adventures. However there are lots of principles and hard facts of life spread inbetween.

I would say, a must read for book-lovers.
