I was contacted by Lifecell multiple times to take down my personal details. An appointment was set up after a lot of weeks in February 2014 in the hospital where I was supposed to deliver my baby. We went to the hospital to keep the appointment but the representative did not keep the appointment by giving us a lame excuse - "I have too much work at office right now. I cannot make it today". She agreed to set up a presentation at my residence, but I never received a call.
After that I posted a complaint on the Lifecell website and the representative called and said, "I am no longer working with Lifecell. So I cannot pursue your request for Cord Blood Banking."(Not sure how her supervisors ensure a handover of her customer list) Her name: Pallavi Ramamurthy.
She gave me the number of another colleague who was to take over from her. His name is Faisal +91-9686683771.
I contacted Faisal. (As a customer I have been running behind these people to follow up!). He said he will meet me after two days. My delivery date was very close by and I told him we cannot delay more. He assured me that he would meet me, but never did.
I already delivered my baby in that week itself and Cord Blood Banking could not be done. I am very surprised at the absolute unprofessional conduct of the employees of this so-called "most recommended" stem cell bank. We depended on the bank and missed out on storage of stem cells due to such conduct.
Considering my experience, in a way I am happy we did not go for this company. If they were so unprofessional*before* signing up a customer, I am not sure how good the services will be after signing up.
Other reviews on mouthshut clearly show how bad the experience has been. Now I am also unsure if their storage infrastructure is good enough. Could be a fraudulent organisation that is making money for now and may disappear 20 years later when we really need the cord blood and we would have paid all of the EMI!
