Tips for healthy Lips

The mouth is one of the most important aspects of the body that God has given us. We use the mouth to talk and to smile and to communicate expressions and feelings. Therefore, it becomes our duty to care for and treat our lips with the utmost concern:


In the winter and summer months, our lips get dry, flaky, and cracked as a result of the air that surrounds us. In order to restore balance to the mouth, we must follow a specific series of steps on a daily basis.


1). Always take a small tube of lip balm with you wherever you go and apply a generous amount as often as possible.(I would suggest that you try’Blistex’ because of the cool, refreshing sensation that it provides. However I prefer the more expensive’burt’s bees lip balm’ because it is unfused with natural ingredients such as bees wax, coconut oil, almond oil, peppermint oil, and comfrey).


2). Always apply a sunscreen to your lips with a minimum of SPF 15.


3). Exfoliate your lips every week with a stiff tooth brush and a drop of honey.


4). Before going to bed at night, break open a soft capsule of vitamin E oil, and rub it on your lips.(You can find vitamin E oil at any grocery store). This will moisturize, protect, and repair your lips.
