I’ve always been enchanted by music that really soaks into you - I luv to listen to music while lying down in bed thinking about life! The kinda music that isn’t hard - but is almost like a lullaby... really fills you! I’d found it in Enya, Yanni and Enigma and have always been on the lookout for a Christian Band that would fill my void. A few years ago I picked up an assorted Christian Album from my friend that had an artist called Michelle Tumes singing out a song called Listen and I knew my search was over. But I lived in a country called India and that meant I had to really hunt to get my hands on any of her albums. I was finally rewarded when I saw the albumat a local Christian Bookstore. I shelled out Rs. 50 (a little more than a dollar) for the cassette and here I am - 2 years later reviewing it for the world to see!

The albums starts off with the title track that sets the right pace for the album. This is one album you should listen to right through without a break. It builds a beautiful picture of God, His wonderful creation and your place in it as you slip, slide, run and then realise that He is the only way. It looks at man’s folly (’you think you’re free but you’re wasting time’), Christ calling you (’He’s calling me to a place where love’s the only song’), the innermost need for Him (’I just want to fly in your arms’), the comfort Christ gives (’Rest my soul’). I wish I could find the words to say more! But the album would speak better. Each song in this album is an experience.

Feel makes me feel like I’m standing on a rocky seashore, soft rain falling all over me and thunderous clouds swirling in the sky as lightning stretches across them!

My Constant One has me running across lush green fields with the early morning dew all around my bare feet.

Listen has me standing on the edge of a mountain top with my arms stretched out and my eyes beholding miles and miles of God’s wondrous creation as the wind blows through my hair. And then I find myself floating in gentle waters in Healing Waters. I repeat - Every song in this album is an experience! There is an intimacy in the lyrics and music that draw you close to Him and you know you’re safe! Happy Listening!!
