Prior to Listerine I have tried Dr.Reddy’s medical mouthwash and Plax and had horrible side effects. The Dr.Reddy mouthwash started giving me abscess on a damaged tooth.
Plax is better but once the mouthwash wearsoff the bacteria becomes supercharged and ends up worse than without a mouthwash. The advantage with listerine is that the bacteria is not able to mutate after use and the new bacteria do not become superbugs unlike with the other two mouthwashes I mentioned.
