Sordid tale of Livspace

This is a sordid tale of Livspace. I gave my new flat to livspace in Mid August. Initially, they promised all the glorified things about their project management, quality, and punctuality. I fell for the trap.


They took 2 and a half months to do the basic design. The designer was incompetent and doesn’t understand the basic instruction. The designer repeatedly made several mistakes in designing the house. There was neither attention to detail nor basic professionalism to execute. I had to mail with bold letters and colours to make things happen. A simple thing like add a shelf, don’t add a shelf takes 2 days to do. The designer would chat on hangout then would forget what we asked. They didn’t even bother to take notes. I found bugs in the drawings. There were mistakes in the Plan view and elevation view diagram. I had to investigate and point them that.


They take the entire amount before the execution. And once you pay the amount you are at their mercy.


Initially, they committed to 7th December, then moved to 30th December, Then they changed to 16th January, 22nd January and 30th January. Finally the delivered it on 6th February after two moths of delay.


The execution was with abysmal professionalism. They did the shoe rack wrong. And the error they made is completely irrevocable. They did the breakfast counter wrong, then changed that. They made the wrong measurement of the shower stall and then changed twice.


I ordered a double curtain rod, they installed the single one and then later took several days to replace this. They made several quality compromises in the curtain rod installation. It is a bio-hazard now and can drop on my head anytime.


During the painting, they couldn’t find the correct colours that have been chosen, so they stopped work for 3-4 days. I can’t believe that there is no coordination between the departments. They charge a hefty amount for project management but I found I am doing all the project management on their behalf.


They forgot to order the cabinet handle. I have no idea how should I open my cabinets.


In between, I escalated this to their CEO. But alas! Nothing works with livspace. There is no professionalism, no sense of urgency, no customer obsession. I lament every day that I chose them.


I spent 15Lac and paid them in full before the start of the execution. I cannot fathom how incompetent one has to be able to execute in such a manner.


They still have not completed the project fully.


There we multiple things which were pending, and we don’t know when will that be finished. Even for the snag list, they changed the timeline multiple times.
