We went to livspace, Bengaluru somewhere in Feb-Mar 2019. I paid some initial amount to book them. Promised delivery date was somewhere in mid of July 2019. Actual date of 100% completion was October 2019.
More details:
We were assigned designer Ms. Niyama Ram and her supervisor Neha Arora. During discussion phase they promise you timely delivery and quality work, 3d experience of room etc etc....
Design phase:
To be honest we didn’t really needed Niyama’s input on most of the things, as we were pretty clear on our requirements, except for colors and ply finish etc. But nonetheless we asked for her inputs wherever we were not so clear. We didn’t want to do too much in our home as we wanted to keep it simple and maintainable. For wardrobes and kitchen units we chose standard stock units available with livspace. You need to go 2-3 times to their office for this whole procedure. She noted down our requirements and said she will put those requirements in her software application and send the rendered pics. After some to and fro we finalised the designs, finish, color etc. You have to pay 50% of the total amount by now. You start realizing how compartmentalized this company is.
Implementation phase:
This is where headache starts. We were asked to contact Amit Nagar for all future implementations. They started with false ceiling just 15 days before the promised final delivery date. 5days before the final date I get call from Amit that factory units are done and I need to pay the remaining 50% otherwise delivery will be affected. I paid so that it doesn’t get delaid. They deliver items. On final date of delivery my apartment is in mess , kitchen is not done, wardrobe units were wrongly delivered, false ceiling still not done, tv unit not even started. If you start following up you will come to know that for civil work you have to contact somebody else, for kitchen and wardrobe contact somebody else. When they started my tv unit I came to know that designer Niyama Ram changed the design without our consultation. I had to get it removed and pay extra 10k to do it the way I wanted.
Amid all the tension only Prithvi (site coordinator) was the one who was listening and getting the things done somehow.
Pros:
Material and finish are good
Fitting is good
If I call for service they take time but come and fix.
I could remain sane only because Prithvi was somehow getting things done and constantly in touch.
Cons:(I’m writing via mobile so keeping it short otherwise list is too big)
Delayed delivery
-False updates. Even 2 day before final delivery Amit kept saying he will deliver. While I could see that atleast 10 days of full manpower of work was pending.
-Designers are pretty much useless. We gave her a real life photo of tv unit. She said she understood it. But then completely changes it and is saying new design also looks the same. I had to redo it. Pay for it too.
Neha Arora- Her only objective is to get the 50% of payment of design phase, after that no picking calls. She is , what is everything wrong with this company.
Amit Nagar - He keeps giving wrong updates on your face. Can’t handle the manual labours who are supposed to come at site.
-livspace company: company took more projects that it can handle. Delivers the wrong product at on-site from factory.
