Livspace got my contact (likely from the projects sales team) and kept calling multiple times to visit their Experience Center in Marathahalli. I eventually visited out of curiosity to check their quality and process. On the same day, they offered me a deal of ₹2;.7L for 1BHK interiors and took ₹25;, 000 as advance.
Heres where things went downhill:
Final Quotation Shock: After a month, they called me in for a final discussion and revised the quote to ₹3;.3Lalmost ₹60;, 000 more. I later discovered a flat in the same project got similar work done for just ₹1;.8L from another vendor.
Poor Workmanship:
They outsourced the work to a local vendor.
The wall-mounted TV unit broke on the same day due to poor support. After multiple follow-ups, they re-fixed it on the floor with legs, which was not as per design.
The design included spotlights in the TV unit (and I was charged for it), but they installed a plain panel instead.
Kitchen cabinet under-sink silver coating turned black in just one day.
They asled extra for removing and fixing granite in the kitchensomething not made clear earlier.
Free Appliance Scam: They promised ₹15;K worth of free appliances. I chose a chimney (worth ₹14;K) and two fans:
The chimney installer charged extra for fitting.
The fan installers never showed up. I had to get a local electrician to install them, paying out of pocket.
Bottom Line:
Do not pay any token amount in the first meeting. Always compare quotes from multiple vendors and be cautious of high-pressure sales tactics. The quality, coordination, and transparency from Livespace were very poor in my case.
