Livspace has been a Huge disappointment after we entrusted them End-to-End Interiors work for our 4BR Apartment in February 2018. The Hyderabad team promised the moon at time of signing the agreement, but the whole setup is geared up only to do small small projects worth few lakhs. Entrusting them for a Premium, High End Interiors work is a "DIsaster waiting to happen". We were left with No option other than to Cancel the engagement as LivSpace failed to meet its commitments and promises and in process caused huge amount of delays and monetary losses .
1. EXECUTION - We were misled by the Livpsace team stating that they had the capability to execute in Hyderabad. The Customer is being asked to foot all the risk of the project, by making advance payments upfront and then leave themselves to mercy of Unresponsive teams.
2. TIMELINES - The Project timelines have been completely compromised where they took six months to just Design the project and then came up with unrealistic plan of completing all execution in 2 months flat. Basically they just wanted to get hold of the 50% advance payment after which the Customer is pretty much stuck with no escape route .
3. BUDGETS & COSTING - The Final bids for Custom Interiors work submitted were doubled up against what they quoted initially and that too with Service Partners who were run of the mill stuff with no prior experience with Livspace.
4. UNPROFESSIONAL SETUP - One doesnt know whom can we trust in the organization as words and promises are uttered with no intention to fulfill them. There are multiple owners for the project encompassing Design Phase, Vendor Finalization, and Execution with each one of them trying to maximize their personal gains . Whereas in a regular turnkey contract the Interior Designer remains primary point of contact for beginning to End . We were used as a football being passed from one selfish hand to another who were just interested in meeting their individualistic goals.
5. ESCALATION MECHANISM - The escalation mechanism are non-existent as people even at GM/Higher level dont bother to respond to mails, forget about resolving critical issues.
We decided to pull the plug after an arrogant functionary told us to "Take the Inflated Execution offer as it is, or the Service Partners would be assigned to other projects". This is after making us go around in circles for six months due to nonavailability of a vendor to take up Custom work.
Beware of the unprofessional setup, especially if you are looking for End-to-End Interiors work for a premium property!
