I brought a Lloyd Glacia (LP12HC) portable A/C one month back. It is working fine for me ... I run the a/c with 22C temp set. It takes around 1hr for the room heat to come down - 10*9 in size. Room temp would be around 42.
Where I stay is top floor and so I do not switch on ceiling fan but use a table fan, to increase the cooling within the room I place the A/C. It cools the room in 2hrs and at one point I increase the A/C set temp to 23-24C temp from 22C temp. Dealer delivered free of cost and in time promised. It is not like split or window but a reliable one and would be suitable for small rooms.
Note: Pls see that the duct for hot air is near a window or any outlet so that hot air doesnt mix with cool air in the room. I keep the A/C in bedroom and the duct is pulled out to hall. The duct is placed near to window so that the hot air from hall goes out. So that you need not make a hole in wall or door or window
It doesnt have air swing facility. It would be good to have the option as well. Remote doesnt have backlit light. That is one disadvantage.
I recommend it but with little care in placing in right place.
