Most of you must be confused as to buy which bike in this 150cc Lifestyle segment as it has become very crowded nowadays. I have done some research on this segment including - PULSAR 150, FIERO F2, CBZ & GRAPTOR . I’ll not comment much on style as it can depend on personal tastes, but I personally feel CBZ to be the most stylish of the lot.
Lets consider Fuel Economy first in which I found FIERO to be the best, which gives about 56-58 in city conditions, pulsar not very far with about 54-57 in city. Next comes GRAPTOR with about 52-54 in city and the last is CBZ with only 47-49 in city.
Lets see Power & Performance now. In terms of power, PULSAR is the weakest with only 144cc, FIERO with 147.5 cc, GRAPTOR with 150.8 cc and CBZ-the strongest with 156.6 cc. FIERO has the worst gear box with only 4 speeds whereas all others have 5. In terms of PICKUP, GRAPTOR steals the show with 13.6 bhp of power which is quite higher than all others.
Considering the ride and handling, Fiero with a thin rear tyre, is not very good at high speeds and Pulsar is bulky and difficult to handle in small turns.I would rate both Graptor & CBZ as the best in comfort and stability at high speeds but I found one disadvantage in CBZ is that u have to fold the footrest every time u have to kickstart the bike.
GRAPTOR has a Gear Interlock which will not allow you to put the vehicle in to gear unless the stand is removed. Considering the Cost, FIERO is the most economical of the lot and CBZ the most costliest.
My Suggestion: If u want a bike with Power but only for City conditions, then go for FIERO.If u want a bike with excellent performance, but mostly for Highway rides and out of city travels, go for CBZ. But if u want a bike which balances both the scenarios, then go for GRAPTOR, which I feel has succeded in balancing all factors like Power, Style and Performance.
