Undoubtedly it can be said that local trains are the lifeline of Mumbai. They take you anywhere around the city. However, I would like to highlight the scene during monsoon.
While there have been many occasions when I have enjoyed and partied in the heavy rains, but it becomes almost impossible to travel by trains when there’s a heavy fall.
The first thing to get affected are the local trains and people get stranded in the rush. Stations are filled with people going to or returning from work because trains just stop due to the water logging of tracks or signal problem or short circuit.
Something must definitely be done to improve this.
