We had been to Lohgad both in summer this year and in monsoon the last year. Summer trek is very strenous due to heat exhaustion but you get to see all the important places ( OCTOGONAL POND / LAKE, LAXMI KOTHI etc) on the fort and as well surrounding Pawna lake and dam; Tung - Tikona etc without any visibility problem.
Monsoon trek is the best to enjoy the rains with the clouds playing hide and seek with you. Sometimes the visibility is not even 10 feet. But then who cares when u want to enjjoy the rain hitting u in the face. To go to Vinchu kata ( scorpion sting shaped end od the fort ) is very dangerous especially during monsoon.I am planning to got after Ganpati Visarjan.
