Lonavla is a hill station located at a distance of 74 km approximately from Pune and about 83 km from Mumbai. I am a resident of Pune and Lonavla is an Hour and 45 minutes drive from my place. Lonavla is a beautiful place to visit during this time of year. For residents of pune it definitely is a good place for taking a day off and a long drive here. Lonavla is a perfect destination for a one day trip as it has ghats enfilled with fog and the pleasant fragrance of wet soil. Lonavla is filled with a variety of food items but its major food attraction is a sweet named chikki. This product is exclusively produced and manufactured in lonavla with a great and balanced taste of groundnuts sugar, a successor of this sweet has made its way into lonavla named chocolate fudge which is worth trying. Lonavla has many attractions along with the beautiful nature such as resorts, amusement parks and even is well developed to have sheesha cafes.
