Its all about waterfalls..

Located around 70 kms from Pune lies twin sisters Lonavala - Khandala. When I used to study in Pune, visits to Lonavala were quite often. Best time to visit Lonavala is rainy season, coz the beauty of lonavala lies in its waterfalls.

You can either go with your friends in a Sumo/Safari. Halt near Bushi Dam..its the original artificial waterfall out there in form of stairs, where you have a huge lake behind it. Sitting on the stairs of Bushi Dam is great fun. On the other side of lake, you have abundant waterfalls...just keep trekking. Higher you go..larger the waterfall gets.

Don’t worry about the eatables, coz no matter which part of Lonavala you are, kids selling hot vada - paavs will reach you there. Its not a bad idea if you can take with you a few bottles of beer.

Bathing under the ice - cool water and enjoying the sensation of countless needles pricking your skin, with a bottle of beer in one hand and vada - paav in another....standing on top of the world....its a state of Nirvana, where nothing else matters!!!

Also, you can take a ride on Bike with your BF/GF from Pune - Lonavala. Riding through the valley in drizzle, when someone special is sitting with you, sharing those precious moments of life is really memorable. You’ll find endless couples sitting near waterfalls, enjoying their privacy in calm and serene environment.

Best place to propose someone...when you want to be sure..she won’t say no.

P.S. : Conveyance is a major problem there, so arrange for it from Pune/Mumbai only.
