The lonely planet site is an excellent resource for travellers, easily accessible and offers a lot of information for new travellers.
I selected this website because I am as a backpacker very familiar with the ’’LONELY PLANET GUIDE’’ practically the backpackers travel bible. It is the MOST popular and accurate.
The best aspect of the site is that it will lead you to buy the book, but I found nothing amazing in the site itself, nothing that isn’t un-unique to other travel sites much to my disappointment.
The information on the site lacks the kind of detail you will find in the book, the writers of the site and book are clearly not the same.
The site is a poor misrepresentation of what the lonely planet guide has to offer. If you plan to travel than I highly suggest buying a lonely planet guide for your destination, to help you discover every nook and cranny of where you are going, my advice is this, skip the site, buy the book!
