Looking Good Furniture (BTM Layout) - poor quality

I saw some mixed review of Looking Good furniture for interiors - here is my experience. When I bought a new apartment at BTM, the major headache was the woodwork. Since I was staying in airport road, it was difficult to go to the apartment and monitor their progress. Hence I was looking for some interior designer - but costwise not sure. Then I thought to approach this looking good furniture at BTM layout (checked their website and reviews - looked OK). I got an estimation and then they visited my apartment for measurement. I thought initially for the kitchen and two wardrobes in the two rooms. But then wanted to first see how they work, so ordered only for one wardrobe in the bigger room. It was 6.5 * 9 ft (with loft) - block board with lamination both side (did not go for paint/polish). They quoted 80, 000/- - and told me that the finish will be excellent. Cost wise it was OK, or a little high - but I wanted the finish so did not negotiate. Then they started working - it took 4 days to complete the work. The made the floor so dirty - and though promised but didn’t clean it up. Then the builder cleaned it again for me (thankfully). Now coming to finish - it’s really really bad (for a wardrobe costing 80, 000/-, it’s pathetic).

The mirror was not straight, out of the 6 loft shutters 3 were not straight, wardrobe shutter handles were not fitted staright. When I called them they corrected the mirror, and the shutter handles - but told that the loft shutters can’t be rectified. The ply got bent in one wardrobe, it is looking odd (but again can’t be corrected) - I was feeling so helpless (luckily it was a slight bent, but easily noticeable). They didn’t fit the shutters within the frame, but the shelves were made for that kind of fitting. Hence I lost the storage space. They didn’t laminate the borders of shutters and drawers, it was having the raw ply color - after insisting they came and painted. The big mistake I have made is, I paid the full amount. What I found out is, their factory engineer  Arvind hired a carpenter Naveen (on contrcat) to do this work. Naveen has the contact of many small carpenters (he is a thikedar) - and he had distributed the work among his people. Naveen is the main culprit - he just wasted my money. I had called Zeesan and Mr. Dilip of Looking Good BTM to come and see whether this is the finish they promised me. But no one came. I could have done this through some interior designer - costwise it won’t be much difference. I am now looking into this option for my kitchen and other woodworks.

I have seen some reviews in mouthshut from diffrent interior designer about good work done by Looking Good, I think either that’s wrong or it’s just your luck - if you get a good carpenter (anyway he will not be from Looking good, on contrcat only), will get good finish. I am upset, but really my decision was correct - not to give full woodwork to them at the first time. Hope this review will help people who are planning to do their woodwork through Lookin Good.
