Being a BPL Mobile customer already and also a holder of a leading credit card, I was offered additional SIM card by a marketing agency of BPL Mobile in Mumbai.
The sale representative visited me on 18th Mar02 and I filled up the required form and also attached the necessary document copies.
I paid to them for the SIM card using my credit card of course. The representative assured me that my SIM card would be delivered within 2 days. Thus I was expecting it around 20st Mar02.
I was following-up with the marketing agency and they kept on telling me that the card was already dispatched by BPL Mobile directly and I should be getting it by 22nd Mar02.
The whole week passed and the card was not delivered to me till 22nd Mar evening.
Finally I was fed-up and I cancelled my registration for the new SIM card and requested for refund of money. The agency said that the cancellation was accepted but I need to follow-up with BPL Mobile directly for money refund.
After calling various offices of BPL Mobile, finally today I could get assurance that my money would be refunded. Since I had paid by credit card, I expect that the refund means that my credit card would not be charged.
I was really disappointed and thanked myself for not making cash payment for the SIM card.

Today i.e. 30th April 02, neither have I received the refund and nor any concrete reply from any of the responsible officers from BPL Mobile.
