Looters!
The BPL mobile on the spot i.e. mobile on the spot for u! Heck what the hell, its money (you pay) on the spot and not for the services the BPL provides but for the harassement they give you. I have been using a BPL prepaid card for almost one and a half year, and have stayed loyal to the services. There were a lot of schemes by other competitors like idea, airtel etc that could have easily allured me to switch to them.But I must be outta my mind when I chose to stick to BPL. I thought the services provided by BPL are the best and didnt give any second thought as long as the services provided to me were the best. Yeah, BPL was indeed the most customer friendly service until recently it dig a knife on its prepaid customers.
So what exactly did they do? I got an sms which read, Dear customer wef frm 17th aug, u can recharge your mots and youd get the Rs 125/- rental charges free. Thats very good I thought. I immediately bought a recharge coupon for Rs 500/- and got the talk time and so everything was happy and gay. Then my mobile buzzed again with yet another sms, Dear customer wef 23 aug recharge your coupon with any scheme and get the rental as the free talktime. Again I was very happy to know this and once again attempted the folly of recharging my coupon.(Naw I woudnt tell you guys the amount this time, so spare me the embarrasement please!) Now I had a talktime that could last over two months. My happiness knew no bounds, until they bombarded me with yet another sms. This time it read, Dear customer (kill me for that) wef from 27th august the recharge grace period of your mots has been reduced to fifteen days. Initially it was one month. Panic stricken I called the customer care centre seeking for such an abrupt change. The boy at the other end said gaily that he didnt know why such a change was being made, he said he was only obeying the orders given to him. I hung up the cell when he wished my day nice and thanks for calling!
I was wondering what was this all about when suddenly I realised that I was being trapped. The immediate implication of this new scheme was that if I do not recharge within next fifteen days I wouldnt be able to carry forward any balances. And to add to it, I recharged the coupon with such amout that was sure not to exhaust in next two months. So if I have to carry forward the balance I would have to recharge it by paying every 15 days! Money for money huh! Looters, looters and looters is what they are. I should have know, oh how I feel this now, I should have known. After my loyalty to them, after stciking to the already costliest service, this is how they repay me back? Is the way to treat your customer? What am I supposed to do now? I better switch to some other decent services, I wonder if there are any left!
Ok fine so BPL would loose only one customer, but I am sure many more would cease to use this looter service. And know what they say........THANKS FOR CALLING!!!
