I think no one can miss this novel as the movies are so great. I too read it after watching the movies.
It is impossible to match The Lord of the Rings in depth of detail. This is one of Tolkien’s masterpieces.Tolkien’s imagination is unparalleled and unrivaled.
It draws on a lot of matter from The Silmarillion, which will make the reader even more inquisitive. The appendices are also extremely interesting and give just the smallest hints of the world that Tolkien created. The poems in the book are fantastic.
For those who truly love reading, there isn’t a better book to be found.
One should also read the Hobbit saga.
