’’..........................I have returned with the turn of the tide’’

Another line which will remain immortal in my mind. Adapted from the second volume (book3 and book4) of the fantastic book written by the late J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord Of The Rings- Two Towers is a simply fabulous movie. The director Mr. Peter Jackson deserves all the pats and praises he gets.

Put together a bunch of excellent costume and set designers, a casket of priceless actors, heavenly music and a director like Peter and you most certainly will get an immortal epic. I have seen very few movies that are loyal to the book, but let me inform you that after The godfather, this is the only movie I have come across that has actually enchanted me.

TT (Two Towers) is not just a movie, it is a lesson that all of us learn when we begin the journey of life. From the sadness and regret that we get when we lose our friends to the brave front that we put up and face the world, every facet of human psycology has been covered in this awesome movie.

The loyalty of Sam, the friendship between Gimli and Legolas, the love shared between Arwen and Aragorn, the respect of Eowyn and Eomer for their uncle, King Theoden, the grimy lies of Wormtongue and the the false pride of Saruman all relate to us in their own way. TT has certainly had a huge impact on the minds of all the people who see a movie not for the simple reason of time-pass but for the more intelligent reason of learning a few things from it. I have nothing but praises for everyone who worked hard for this movie and made it a permanent entry in my DVD collection.

The battle in Helm’s Deep has been choreographed with amazing flexibility and the death of the noble elven warrior Haldir is certainly heart warming. The ability of the cast and the crew to actually send you on a journey through the havens of Middle -Earth is certainly remarkable.

The scene where Arwen chooses between her family and the love of a mortal also touches a string in the hearts of a few who may have found themselves in the same postion sometimes.

In the end all I can say is THANKS. Thank you Mr. jackson and everyone else for making a jewel of a movie!!
