A good conditioner

Buying shampoos and conditioners in the grocery has now become harder because there are so many permutations that I really have to take the time to read through the labels. My mother becomes impatient waiting for me, and so sometimes I just go by the manufacturer. One such purchase based on the track record of the manufacturer is L’Oreal Smooth-Intense Caring Conditioner. The price is a lit bit intimidating because it is more than twice the other shampoos or conditioners in the shelves. But it’s L’Oreal, and thus far, this manufacturer has yet to fail me whether in its hair color or hair care products, so I made the US$4.5 purchase.

The bottle says that its for frizzy and rebellious hair. I have long and straight hair but the dry humid temperature in my country drives my hair frizzy(excuses, excuses). I thought therefore that this was perfect for my rebellious hair. It has nutrileum and silk protein which nourishes and protects from humid or dry conditions. The formulation is a bit rich, only a dollop is needed for my mid-shoulder length hair. When I accidentally put too much once or twice, my hair felt heavy and oily. It took me quite a while to rinse off the excess conditioner. But when I put in the right amount, it did wonders on my hair.

Usually, I need to iron my hair to maximize the effects of hair conditioner. This time, after I dried my hair in front of an electric fan, my hair became smooth and shiny. I looked at my reflection in the mirror and felt like a commercial model for a hair product. It was worth the US$4.5 that I spent on the 180 ml bottle. I wonder if the effects would be intensified if I use the other products on the same line.
