Even better than its prequel, JP!!

The Lost World is just as good as its predecessor, Jurassic Park, and in some respects, even better. Trust me when say this, the book is nothing like the movie-sequel of the same name. The story and plot is completely different, and has been handled in true Michael Crichton style.

Of all the Crichtons I have read [and I have read most of them ;) ] this is easily the best one. It is satisfying in every aspect, from suspense, thrill, drama and action, to background and technical information on dinosaurs, extinction, evolution, and even engineering.

The book answers all the questions left undealt with in Jurassic Park. Ian Malcolm has survived the Jurassic Park disaster, and is back in his chaotic best :P!! But then, he is not the only one who survived... rumours have been spreading about mysterious, large creatures turning up in several new Costa Rican islands... and hotshot paleontologist Richard Levine wants to investigate.

Now, six years later, a small group sets off to verify the possibility of the existence of a hypothetical lost world, which if it exists, could help solve many mysteries of extinction and evolution. But there are people whose interests aren’t so abstract!

Though the story is along similar lines as Jurassic Park, the book does still makes for a very gripping read, and is anything but a boring repeat.
