Old may not be Gold, but rusted

I had to force myself to sit through this movie as my girlfriend is a Dev Anand fan. Err... She was a Dev Anand fan till she saw this movie. Judging from her sleepless nights since, I wonder it is still the case.

Anyway, coming back to the story: For beginners, the actors have done reasonably well, although it is nothing much to write home about.

The songs seem as if they have been thrown in just for the heck of it, and sometimes, it seems like a musical with the songs appearing out of nowhere!

Anand Sahab probably thought he should include the Sept. 11th incident as a social gesture. Well, in this case, it just confuses the hell out of the audience.

I guess the only love that is actually present is the movie is that of Dev Anand: his love of himself :-) Looking at him in every scene, I got a feeling that he had wanted to do an autobiography but decided to do a film instead.

See it if someone is paying you to do so. But then, you have to be paid very well for the effort. The music is the only saving grace and consolation in this movie.

I recommend you watch this movie alone to avoid curses from all concerned.
