Not exactly the type of conversation that would evoke fond childhood memories. But that soundtrack is a big part of my twisted wonder years. I didn’t understand the words. For me, it was nothing more than familiar noise. I remember waiting impatiently for the ladies to shut up and music to begin.
This album was released in 1976 in the U.S
I will start out by saying that "Love In C Minor" by Cerrone is one of
my favourite Disco songs of all time(right behind Love Insurance by
Front Page). This is what made Euro-Disco what it was going to become.
It was a trend setter.
Everyone involved in this later became staples in the Disco field; Alec
R. Costandinos(Romeo & Juliet and Love and Kisses), Don Ray(Got
To Have Loving), Alan Hawkshaw(Love Deluxe) and of course Cerrone
(Supernature).
Up until the release of this record, much of Disco in the US was of an
R & B background(Trammps . . .). Now the world was being
introduced to lush euro-style string arrangements with music that just
flowed on and on. This British pressing contains the complete intro of
the banter between three woman at a club discussing Cerrone’s interest
in one of them. In addition this is the original uncensored cover not
found on the American version of "Love In C Minor(with the tattooed hands). This, the British version, is the only version to have and worth holding out for.
