The myriad tale of love

….its like you told me once

If we never saw each other again

It wouldn’t make any difference

You didn’t say it wouldn’t matter

You said… it wouldn’t make any difference

And did you know I understood the nuance?

It was s long ago… but, did you know?

[From Venus Trines at Midnight by Linda Goodman]

We all know about Linda Goodman… there are in fact very few among us who at one point of time not flipped through the pages of the book that shot her into superstardom of astrology… viz. SUN SIGNS

However, today I am here to discuss another book of hers… often considered one of her most indulgent and emotional work by critics, readers and believers world over… LOVE SIGNS.

THOSE WERE THE DAYS:

Fresh into high school, with courses streaming through our heads, we needed a break from the realities and boredom of our everyday existence. For a few of us friends, it came through reading… reading almost anything we could lay our hands on… that was a heady experience.

It was a chance discovery by one of my friends, that first introduced me to this book… and I was hooked. I wanted to believe…I wanted to know… but above all I loved the way the book was written.

THE BOOK:

This is Linda Goodman’s second work after sun signs.

The book is divided into various portions /sections through which she claims to give a new approach to the human heart.

1. The twelve mysteries of love:

In this section… she explores and expounds on the various necessities, expectations and virtues and foibles experienced by people in love of various sun signs…more aptly put as what is their mission in love…

E.g.: LEO: is the teenager, that cries “I will”… it teaches that love is ecstasy and learns that love is humility.

LIBRA: on the other hand, is the sign of marriage, hence it claims “I balance”… it teaches that love is beauty and learns that love is harmony.

2. Sun sign

This section helps you determine your western sun sign and lets you reach a decision in case you are a cusp.

3. The love sign combinations

This is the real section of the book… the bulk and the basis. In here Linda lucidly elucidates the different things, qualities and vices; joys and pains shared in any association in any kind of relationship… friendship, business or romantic

E.g.: say between a LEO man and a LIBRA woman. Since this a 3-11 combination (the book extensively teaches you about the combinations, don’t worry), this association is supposed to be fraught with a strong tie of friendship, no matter what kind of relationship is intended. There will be much ease of communication, back and forth, etc, etc.

to elaborate further, this portion of the book goes something like this:

First sun sign A and sun sign B

E.g.: the ARIES- TAURUS relationship

At first she details all aspects of such an association minus the romantic angle.

Second she deals with the romantic angle

That between say taking the above example: an ARIES MALE and a TAURUS FEMALE

Next between, AN ARIES FEMALE & TAURUS MALE.

Therefore, the coverage in extensive, details and because of Linda’s delightful writing style utterly enjoyable and fascinating to read.

A NOTE TO THE BELIEVERS:

Read it, I am sure it would be a part of your haloed collection… what with its useful appendices, which can guarantee quick reference; to its easy to use format… the book is sure to not disappoint you.

TO THE NON BELIEVERS:

What the heck read it for the fun of it. It is actually a very wholesome… and what knows may be by donning some of the facts from this book you might actually land in a good spot with that person you had been eyeing all along. Cause if nothing else, this book doubles up as a self help book and delivers one clear message, so long given and clearly forgotten in the Bible…

“To everything there is a season, and a time for

Every purpose under the heaven… a time to be

Born… a time to cast away stones, and a

Time to gather stones together… and a time to

Embrace and a time to refrain from embracing…

So…friends, readers and critics… read, live, love and be happy!
