I had an off today. Evidently my project was celebrating the US Independence(4th of July). So I thought to myself - What was the best possible way to celebrate the Holy Lands indepence . Oh I know . lets go for Hancock . I know that was supposed to release the 4th of July.
I drove my behind all the way to Faridabad to pick up my friend Shuchit from where we went to a cineplex in Faridabad. There we learnt Hancock did not release. Maybe he was too drunk .
We had 3 options . drive all the way to Gurgaon to catchGet Smart or stay there and watchLove Story 2050 where a Hrithik Roshan wannabe gets mushy with a hot babe uses glycerine to cry when she isnt around and does whatever his Einstein lookalike scientist Uncle can come up with to get her back from the future.
I am afraid I will not be able to exactly point towards what happened as I could not sit beyond the interval. Yes . ladies and gentlemen . my friend and I got up . and drove all the way back to Gurgaon to watch Get Smart . now there was a productively funny movie.
The other option which I could have taken but did not was see "Jane Tu ya Jane Na". Being an Amir Khan movie I was sure it would be good. But we ended up going for the weird movieLove Story 2050 as my friend takes a liking towards Sci Fis.
It had a highly far fetched storyline which lacked the special effects to back up the context.
Maybe some good director could have included some more funny scenes and better special effects and changed it to a hit . but the one who actually did direct definitely did not do a very good job.
The introduction of Harman Baweja was fine. The guy did not do too badly for a new comer. The reason why he is gonna blow this one up is he has been clearly brought forward to copy Hrithik Roshan . everything from his moves, hairdo walking style, talking style . hell even the voice matched at times.
But you gotta give him this . copy cat or not . the guy can shake a leg!
So I couldnt bear it beyond the Interval.
If Any of you think the post interval thing was something good which I missed . pray . let me know . though I dont think its worth spending another Rs 150 on but maybe I will rent it in or wait for it to be shown on Sony!
