Funny, touching & infused with wonder, as all love stories should be!! When I read Love Story.... I simply could not put the novel down till I read the sad.. touchy.. tear-jerking end when Jenny tells Oliver to hold her.. really close.. & breathes her last breath in her true loves arms!
I was VERY touched by the movie... I wanted my man to hold me close... (but unfortunately he was overseas).... I was envious that such true deep love could exist(though I don’t have a reason to be as I share a great relationship)!
Oh!I could do/give anything to experience such unconditional love.... I have read the novel 6 times & I own the movie too(which I watch whenever I miss my guy)..! But every time I read the book or watch the movie... it makes me laugh at the verbal volley between Oliver & Jenny.. makes me feel warm when I see their love & their wonderful relationship... & ALWAYS makes me cry when ’’Ollie’’ is told by the doctor that ’’Jen’’ is dying!! What irony!!! ’’They have nothing in common but love.. & everything to share but TIME!!’’ They cross social barriers to be together ETERNALLY.. they even give up their dreams (atleast Jenny does) and in the end... FATE draws them apart!!!!! A must read novel.... & a classic movie with fabulous performances by Ryan O’Neil as Oliver Barrett IV & Ali MacGraw as Jennifer Cavilleri!!
