They say you should not judge a book by its cover but you can surely judgeLoveshhuda from its title. As tacky as it sounds, the entire plot and star cast of the film justifies it to the core. If you thought you had enough of Girish Kumar inRamaiya Vastavaiya wait for this one to demolish your hopes.
Marketed as afresh rom-com, the film was as stale as the steak they serve in Ramsay GordonsKitchen Nightmares. The story is of Gaurav( Girish Kumar), an orphaned boy, raised single-handedly by his older sister Garima( Tisca Chopra) .Loveshhuda starts with Gaurav’s bachelor party as he is all set to tie the knot with Vandana, a dominating girlfriend who stays abroad. Gaurav and his spoilt gang start his bachelor party with gallons of alcohol and beauties. Incidentally, Gaurav meets Pooja( Navneet Dhillon) and spends his entire night drinking and touring London with her and what happens next is very obvious- one night stand! The two develop feelings for each other but Gaurav lets go of his feelings for Pooja and marries Vandana for his family.
Four years later, now a divorcee Gaurav meets his drunken ladylove in Mauritius again, where she has come to celebrate her spinster party and the most cliché events of every love story kick off! Found anything exciting yet? Nah! That’s because there are none! The acting horizon has been untouched by any character. The only characters that come close to it is Gauravs friend Kunal( Naveen Kasturia) . Although, you couldnt help but wonder what made TVF Pitchers amazing lead cast member pick up a role of side-kick of Girish Kumar! Tisca Chopra is another talent gone waste.
The film was a average movie for me
