Lucent’s General Knowledge book is good for all the competitive examinations. It covers all the topics like Stock GK, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry etc which are a part of SSC and other entrance examinations. If you are a beginner, you have to read a lot, as the topics are more elaborate. Also, there are few important tables at the end of each segment. But they do not cover all the important stuff. This book has covered Geography and History very well. The topics on chemistry, physics, computers and biology should be improved a lot, as the number of questions from these segments are very high in SSC examinations. If you’ve just started preparing for SSC examinations, this book is for you. In addition to this, you need to refer NCERT books. Also, for last minute preparation, this book may fail to cater your needs. More data tables should be given at the end of each topic.
