Borefest

This movie is one of the most boring movies I have ever seen. Nothing happens. It’s like a serial that goes nowhere.

The story is about people who come to Mumbai to make it big in the film industry. With such an idea, you can come up with hundreds of interesting plots and make up a very very interesting story line. But it’s a total disappointment.

The story is vague, with no real idea of what it is trying to tell or where it wants to go. It meanders from scene to random scene. There are random scenes which don’t fit anywhere and seem to be taken from some party of the director’s friends.

To give you an example: there is a scene of a kitty party with ladies playing kitty and laughing, with no connection to the story. That shot comes up randomly and is gone. Then the shot moves to something else. ???

It seems like just because the Akhtar’s have a camera and can roll tape, they decided to shoot random scenes of anything and everything (or worse, take up bits and pieces of shoots from their parties and lives) and string it together and call it a movie. Ridiculous. This is the worst movie ever, and a complete disappointment. Zoya Akhtar needs to take her boxes of ancient reels from parties and keep them at home, not turn them into movies to make money.

Konkona Sen-Sharma is such a high-caliber actress, why does she insist on demeaning herself with crap films like Nachle and this one. Is it because she is desperate for roles? Sad.No one else in the movie is worth mentioning. Dimple Kapadia proves that she has gutter language within her (language so disgusting I have never heard in my life).

Nothing worth watching here. The actors are bad, the story is non-existent and there is no song or music at all or any beautiful locales to keep you occupied. Take my advice and avoid, yaar, or you will regret, heh.
