Now there!!! I don`t know what struck me that day but I decided without making proper utilization of my expert brain to go to see lucky out of boredom. I landed up at Liberty that?s diagonally placed from Bombay hospital. Lucky , the name itself means nothing, it means people who have not seen it are lucky rest all who have even had a glimpse of it , your lucky time is over????.
The movie starts in Russia and ends in Russia, You know its Russia because the streets and the other aspects like the broadness of the roads and the large group of Russians that you see in the movie (you only see them all the time and at one point in time you start believing that its not a love story but a war film on Russia) are difficult to find in India.
At the start of the movie they show that Sneha Ullal?s father works in the Indian Embassy and has shifted to Russia.
Then the director shows her Indian friends that she has made in Russia and till the end after that shot her friends are not shown at all.
Sneha known as Lucky Neki has her exams and gets late as she studies for another paper instead of the paper she has to. She is then molested by a Russian who meets her when she is trying to reach her school and then she trys to save herself by doing the disappearing act and hiding away in Salman Khan?s car known as Aditya Sekri.
After that the characters are running in the car cause the terrorist have started attacking Russia and for some reason the whole set up looks so fake, that you cant believe it???. I believe it cannot be any world ?war cause then other countries would have been involved too? the use of television is minimal and other such technologies don`t ask, none of them are shown to enhance the story.
The movie makes use of the Russian language to a great extend, but neither the director or the scriptwriter or the editor makes an attempt to translate the language??. arrey, the Indian audience fails to understand some of the difficult words in English itself and this is a foreign language for God sake??..
Anyways they somehow get away with all the war thing and reach a railway station and what happens next please don?t ask me because its really boring and illogical??..
Now did you all know that Mithun plays a role of a spy in the movie and he is the one who finds out where these two kiddos are but his dialogues are so monotonous especially the irritating ?Kisi Mahan aadmi ne kahan hai ki...’’ is one of his standard delivery??.
In the process Lucky gets sick and Aditya starts getting attracted to Lucky for what I still have to understand and then they both start singing songs which have no head and tail?.. then they escape through joining the Russian army as soldiers? lucky gets dressed as a soldier and then the terrorists find them and they come to know that Lucky is a girl in the soldier?s uniform???
Uff I am tired now and if still you feel that the movie is interesting then LISTEN to this??? sneha looks as if she has not got proper sleep through out the movie shoot and salman khan looks good but his small talks through out the movie gets on your nerves???
No good dialogues throughout the movie and each scene looks like a separate cut-out all together without adding any value to the movie ??? Was just thinking what got into the director or the scriptwriter to write such a movie that neither adds value to any burning issue nor is a light-hearted love story????? i’ll just say let the movie name be lucky but over all it will prove very unlucky for all the people attached to the movie.
