Lucky is a movie of a school girl who ends up in a riot and then stuck in state of war. She is then with Sulman Khan who is twice her age, and they like each other and at the end get married (by so as to speak accident). Now, I am not trying to be negative about this movie but the idea is just hard to digest.
Idea of marriages without admission of love, marriages between two age groups (generation gaps), coincident marriages all these ideas are socially accepted in the western countries and now maybe in India. But realistically speaking does it really happen? Agreed to the fact that the setting of this movie is in Russia (I think) but this is introduced in India. Is the director/story writer/producer trying to give idea to the common people and the changing generation.
Yes, the casts have been well played and well directed but there are many loopholes in this movie. Traditionally, I have learned to keep my brains outside the theater room or sent them on a vacation before I watch Indian movies but this was just a stretch and sometimes cant be helped.
I mean Lucky who is a minor school girl falls in love with Sulman Khan, they do not get a chance to admit but comeon he is twice her age, he should know better. Then they show silly think like mang bhar di! I mean what about the girls parents? Do they accept?
I must say I like the song Sun Jara
The idea/theme of the movie just doent sink in...
