I watched 2 movies this weekend – 1. Lucky and 2. The Pacifier, since I am a Vin Diesel Fan and also Salman Khan Fan. Salman let me down, Vin diesel Didn’t. Well this review is about Lucky so I won’t mention the other movie. I have written a review on the other movie too under the Hollywood movies section.
The beginning of the movie was good but within the first 30 minutes it started getting very boring. The concept of the movie was that this young school girl falls in love with this guy who rescues her and who’s the son of the Indian Ambassador to Russia and is a Hunk and hearthrob of her classmates. The stupid thing was that he too falls in love with her. The story has no strength in it and the performance of all the actors/actresses was pathetic. Sneha is very cute and photogenic but had a constant dumb expression on her face which was very very boring. Salman Khan made me laugh maybe once or twice but his performance was not upto the mark. Mithun’s character, acting and dialogue was horrible – he simply did not deliver, it was a very desperate attempt at making people laugh and it didn’t work. In fact I think his character was a total misfit in the movie. Kader Khan, Vikram Gokhale, Navni Parihar and Ravi Baswani add very little to the movie. The only thing good about the movie was the songs and the locations which were beautiful but I assure you that alone won’t get you thru the movie without getting bored. So guys if you don’t have anything better to do and want to get Unlucky – go see Lucky.
PS : I had done a telebooking before hand - but when I reached the theatre I found out that it was not necessary as the tickets were begging to be bought.
