Now, it has been a while since I watched a movie worth being classified as a cult movie. At first it might look like it is a recycled gangster flick. It is directed by Paul McGiugan, whose only other film I have seen is the German flick, Gangster No.1.
The direction is great, and what seems like a simple plot, has been interestingly narrated. The script is witty, and the movie has all the makings of a cult classic. Great performances by Morgan Freeman, Sir Ben Kingsley, Bruce Willis, and Josh Hartnett. Lucy Liu has done a decent job, and the movie could still have been made without her. But her presence does not diminish the entertainment value of the film, and everything is in the right balance..
A must see for people who like Cult movies.....
I would love to write more, but do not want to spoil the suspense...
Please go watch it..It might be better if you wait till it is on DVD.
