I have been going to Lucky for 15 years now. This eatery is located near Bandra station Road and S.V. Road junction. It had a look of Irani restaurant. But, not anymore, the owners (like the most Bombay ones) have made enough money, and redecorated the place a few years ago.
This place is best known for its biryani. I had a it a long time ago. not being a great fan of biryani or Tandoor preparations, I stick to chicken curries here. They are replete with spices like coriander leaves. The preparations are tasty and just good enough for one person. For a change try Bheja Fry here (People this is someone’s brain fried, ok?) Top this up with sweet Firni (rice pudding).
If I have a complaint here, it is about non-availability of wheat based Indian breads.
Overall, This is a reasonable place to go to. A lot of times, you will find all the ground floor place taken by patrons. The AC room upstairs offers better sitting arrangement.
