Lufthansa offers the most competitive fares and has very good inflight service. and with most of their flights from USA to India having just one stop - over at Frankfurt the journey is not very tiresome either. When I travelled from Dallas , Texas, USA to Mumbai, India they even showed an English and a Hindi movie on both the flights (i.e. from DFW to Frankfurt and Frankfurt to Mumbai).
The flight was on time through out the journey. Even the flight from India to USA was very pleasant, though seating in the economy class is not all that comfortable.
The food is very delicious and they served Indian food from Frankfurt to Mumbai. More importantly, they do not charge money for headsets unlike some other airlines. They offer inflight satellite phone services too.
When I compare this airline with Delta or Air India I feel this airline provides value for money.
Overall a nice experience and highly recommended.
