I flew for the first time on Lufthansa on October 22, 2006 in business class(BLR-FRA-ORD-SLC)
The check-in counter at HAL in Bangalore was awesome. The only gripe I would have is that the agen didn’t give me the card I needed to fill in and present to immigration upstairs. That would’ve made it much easier. However, all was sorted in the end.
I slept through the flight from BLR to FRA, which took off on time. Once there, I visited their business class lounge to prepare for my next flight to ORD. It is very clean and well stocked, though, it was a bit crowded. I made my way to the gate and boarded the plane. The flight from FRA to ORD went very smooth and the in-flight service was exceptional. I thouroughly enjoyed the gourmet meals and snack services offered. What’s better is that there was a choice of snack: fruits or cheeses.
Touchdown in Chicago went smooth and I got through immigration. It did seem like awhile before my luggage came around on the conveyor, but I don’t think that is necessarily the airline’s fault. I had a connecting flight to SLC that I nearly missed due to the monorail being down at ORD, however, in the end I boarded and arrived home on time, which is a very good thing after flying for nearly 30 hours!
Overall I give Lufthansa two very enthusiastic thumbs up and will definitely use them and recommend them to all.
