Have not flown with Lufthansa for some time now - but did so
a couple of years ago - 2 round trips. Rather disillusioned
with what was on offer.
Bad Experiences
Food. Service (no response to attendant call requests).
Also my fault - did not know German at all (esp on the
Frankfurt-SF leg).
Coach Class (how can you say ’class’ for so little) is just
par - Singapore beats it hollow.
Really bad experience
On the way back from SF once - there was a minor drip from
above in the neighbouring row. From SF to Bombay - different
aircraft - there was a steady leak towards the end and a
poor hapless Software guy from Pune was advised by the crew
to hold a blanket to absorb the moisture!! I guess this is
how they fight really low humidity inside the cabins :)
the good stuff
Connections. They do not make you stay 6 or 8 hours admiring
Frankfurt’s airport - and now they even fly out of Bangalore.
Their flights are pretty much always on time.
